How should I eat?

This is the question that has been running through my mind for years. How should I eat, what should I eat, should I count calories, did I eat to much, will this make me fat....? And tons of other questions.
STOP! This is the thinking that leads to eating disorders. Believe me, I used to have one.
Eating isn't as hard as we make it out to be, and as the media represents it.
I learnt this about a week ago. I got the flu, and after that I wanted to "keep the weight off", so I tried 2x as hard to keep skinny. I stopped exercising as much, and ate a lot less. I felt lethargic, and hungry all the time. Thinking was harder, and I felt depressed. But this has been happening even before I got sick. I was always so confused about nutrition. And reading a thousand different articles on the web didn't help. But I stumbled across a few posts from wayofgray, and detoxinista. I learnt a lot from their way of thinking. They both do not count calories, and just eat a balance of healthy and a few unhealthy foods (not much unhealthy). And I learnt, eating doesn't have to be so hard.
I stopped counting calories, stopped worrying about everything that entered my mouth, and stopped the guilt. I feel free! It may sound really weird, but its true! I have been restrictive eating for as long as I can remember, but now I just listen to my body, it knows what I need.
So please, stop all the restrictive, and crazy diets, just listen to your body. But if you really need help with nutrition, then I suggest wayofgray and detoxinista. They both seem to really know what they are talking about. Keep positive, and be healthy and happy ^ ^ hope this helps
